📅 March 13th, 2025

🚪 Reception and Silent Auction at 7:00 pm.

✨ Show Started at 8:00 pm

📍 Marconi Club of London

Each school year, the nutrition program called Supper Club at BGC London serves almost 12,000 meals and 31,000 snacks to children and youth in our programs.

Our annual Music and Meals event helps raise the funds required to ensure that each child and youth attending our after-school programs and camps has access to Supper Club.

Proceeds from Music and Meals will also support the Digital Creative Arts Centre (D.C.A.C.)

The D.C.A.C. is a classroom, a studio, and a performance space at BGC London where youth have the opportunity to learn new skills in digital and creative arts. The students at the D.C.A.C. get real-world and hands-on experience participating in projects for BGC London and community partners.

Each table of 8 at Music & Meals feeds 14 students at BGC London for an entire school year!

Did you know that Damian attended BGC London when he was a boy?

He rode on the Club’s bus, had dinner at Supper Club, spaghetti and meatballs was his favourite! And then ran off to gym to play basketball.

We Met and heard from Damian Warner at the 3rd Annual Music & Meals - A Night in New Orleans.

Damian is London’s pride and one of the greatest decathletes of all time. At the 2020 Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo, he won the gold medal and set an Olympic record in decathlon with 9,018 total points. He is one of only four decathletes to reach 9,000 points in international competition. Warner also holds the men’s decathlon world records in the 100 m (10.12) and the 110 m hurdles (13.36) and previously held the world record in the long jump (8.28 m).

The program

With a partnership with the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University, we are bringing you a fun and entertaining night featuring performances by the Western jazz ensemble.

The Western University Jazz Ensemble performs music that encompasses virtually all styles and eras of jazz, encompassing classic repertory from the legendary bands of Duke Ellington and Count Basie as well as music from contemporary writers such as Maria Schneider, Wycliff Gordon, and Geoffrey Keezer. The ensemble’s mission is to provide students with the performance skills and pedagogical knowledge needed for successful careers as creative jazz artist educators. The ensemble seeks to achieve musical excellence in a professional environment with high expectations.
