Thanks to partners like goeasy Ltd., Supper Club continues to provide healthy and nutritious meals to children and youth after-school throughout the year. Supper Club (our nutrition program at the Club) serves almost 12,000 meals and 31,000 snacks to children and youth visiting our facility!
In the words of our Manager of Program Services, Arden:
“It’s so much more than just food, it’s about connection.”
And she’s right!
“There’s something really special about watching kids sit down at the table, share stories from their day, and build friendships over a warm meal. Supper Club creates a sense of community and belonging. And for many of the children who come to the Club, this meal is not only the most nutritious food they’ll eat all week, it may be the only meal they get that day.
We see firsthand how much this program means to the families we serve. For children facing food insecurity, knowing that they can come to a safe space and count on a nourishing supper makes a world of difference.
